This page is dedicated to the memory of the music venue in Brisbane called TC's Sound Lounge which was on Elizabeth Street in the city and it was opened on May 2nd 1963 which it would last until 1966 which many of the big names of Australian music would play there like Digger Revell, Little Pattie, Warren Williams,Tony Worsley,Ross D Wylie, Judy Stone, The Bee Gees, Billy Thorpe etc as well as local acts like Sherry Wheeler, The Pacifics, The Planets, the Dominoes who were the resident band there, the Avengers, Ritchie Wright and the Vikings, the Beachies, The Escorts and many others. I think you will find that Tv's Sound Lounge closed much later, in the 1970's because I was there in late 1969 to see Doug Parkinson In Focus who, at the time had their massive hit, Dear Prudence on the charts throughout Australia. The night I was there was also the final performance of the Brisbane Coloured Balls, and I think most people there on the night were there to see them and not Doug Parkinson
ReplyDeleteThe name TCS stopped in may 1966 then it became uncles in November 1966 and was sound machine.
